The bedroom of Treetop Suite is our most spacious room and inhabits a generous share of our third floor. The room has soaring ceilings with cheerful colors. Guests can relax in the cushioned chairs before the west-facing windows and view the sunsets over Lanesboro’s western bluffs. The dormer off the main room is a cozy “writer’s garret”, with a lovely round-topped window, built-in bookcase, and antique fainting couch. The room features a queen bed and bedside tables with reading lamps on either side, antique armoire, rocking chair, parson’s table, ceiling fan, and bamboo flooring. The large bathroom has a shower, Amish-made vanity and framed mirror, antique ceiling fixture, with shampoo and conditioner provided.
Treetop Suite guests also have exclusive use of the sitting room outside of the bedroom as well at the outdoor breezeway area, all on the same level. Breakfast is served in the sitting room pictured below.
A two-night minimum stay is generally required on weekends, mid-April through October, but we sometimes have flexibility to make other arrangements, so feel free to call us.
Since it took a few seasons for us to complete the Tree Top Suite, many guests toured it in its various stages of completion. A few preview comments from our guests: “Wow!” “This is a very nice room.” “I love the angles of the ceiling”. And our personal favorite, “We’re going to stay here next time.”
